Approached via its own private drive, Hiša Zeenia is set in 8 Hectares of landscaped gardens and woodland.  This magnificent 3 storey stone house, dating back to 1860, has been carefully restored to retain its original Slovenian charm but with all the modern comforts and conveniences expected in a exclusive villa.  The property has been designed to take full advantage of its elevated and secluded position overlooking the Idrijca River toward the Soca Valley and offers its guest a relaxed retreat from which to enjoy the stunning Slovenian countryside. Although the property is perfect for entertaining large groups there are also plenty of stunning places throughout the estate for more private moments.

Despite its quiet location, the house is just five minutes drive from the main road where there is a small supermarket and local restaurant, which also provides a takeaway service.  All towels and linens are included and there is a cleaning service during your stay.  And should you require, a private chef can be arranged to fulfil all your catering needs.

The house, furnished with antiques and decorated in neutral colours, sleeps 12 people comfortably.  On the ground floor you will find 3 spacious double bedrooms, one with an ensuite and an additional luxuriously appointed bathroom.  All bedrooms throughout the house have been individually decorated with beautiful fabrics, antique furniture and gorgeous bed linens.  They also boast glorious views of the landscaped gardens and surrounding mountains.  There is direct access to the ground floor terrace with its eating area, sun loungers and umbrellas, a perfect spot for reading or just relaxing. 

The first floor consists of a large living room with its original beamed ceiling, comfortable sofas, armchairs, a wood burning open fire, satellite TV and DVD player.  Off the living room is the dining room, fully equipped kitchen, pantry, and W/C.   Step through French doors onto the stunning and spacious first floor terrace.  With its dramatic uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains and on towards the Soca Valley, the terrace has been furnished with a comfortable deep sofa, armchairs and a beautiful stone open fire.  A large dining table and Weber barbecue complete this wonderful “alfresco” sitting and dining room. 

The Kitchen and pantry are fully equipped to provide guests with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including an ice making facility, coffee machine, double ovens, and microwave.

On the first floor you will find an additional 4 bedrooms including the elegant master suite, with its antique wrought iron bedstead and impressive bathroom.  There are a further 3 bedrooms and a shared family bathroom.

Garden

The large rose filled gardens of Hiša Zeenia overlook the valley with paths leading to the well stocked organic kitchen garden, green house and lastly to the spectacular swimming pool.  The pool area is perfect for lazy days in the sun. The scent of roses and lavender will surround you whilst you swim or simply relax in the shaded hammock positioned to make the most of the panoramic views.  The garden is completed with landscape lighting to provide a wondrous ambiance during your evenings on the properties many terraces.

Hiša  Zeenia also caters to the younger guest with a discrete children’s play area including a swing and sandbox.  The pool is enclosed for safety and there is a shallow area and pebble beach for young child to paddle and play in.
